Took this today, at the Norfolk Botanical Garden. It’s unedited. Figured, “This is a good one to post today.” 🙂 Happy Sunday, world!
OK. OK. I know. I’m a day late with this. Yesterday wasn’t good for me, and that’s all I want to say about it.
This is an Ibis. In a tree. At MacKay Island National Wildlife Refuge, North Carolina. I thought it was very kind of it to pose so well. As always, I have not processed the image in any way. It is the same as when it came off the camera. I’ll try to get back on schedule and post on Sundays, starting Sunday.
Sometimes, I look at a picture and try to figure out why it looks like it does. This is another flower from the Norfolk Botanical Garden, taken on Wednesday, 18 June 2014. As always, it’s unedited. I had to ask her what color it is. She said, “Fuchsia.” To me it just looks like a shade of pink, but I’m not good with colors.
OK. So I was gone for a while. We’re good, so long as you don’t ask where I went, or why. I’m back now. Sorry I’m late this morning. Took this picture at the Norfolk Botanical Garden on Wednesday, 18 June 2014, using my Canon PowerShot SX40 HS. The image is not edited. I’ve always liked water lilies in full bloom, and I stared at this one for a while.
Took this on Friday, 16 August 2013, at the Norfolk Botanical Garden. The butterflies were everywhere. Another shot from the Canon PowerShot SX40 HS, again, as maximum zoom (35X optical, similar to 840mm). As always, the shot is unprocessed.
Taken at MacKay Island NWR on Wednesday, 07 August 2013, using the Canon SX40 HS, at maximum zoom. Unedited. Sometimes you walk a long way, in the humid, hot weather, to even get a chance at a shot.
