Neighborhood Hawk

ShutterHawkWeb©Pat Casteen

Hawk from around 300′ away on neighbor’s antenna. Saw him up there just before I headed off to work so I went back in and grabbed my camera. This was the middle of five shots I took before he flew away, he heard the shutter on the first and turned his head to look at me (and the OMD shutter is pretty quiet). Flew off shortly after. Olympus OMD-Em5 150mm f5.6 1/1600 sec, iso 200.

    • Thanks, birds are difficult. Still looking for a longer lens that’s as sharp as my Pentax 135mm that I can afford, even the good used manual focus lenses are expensive. 🙂
