Lagerstroemia

Lagerstroemia by Amanda Makepeace

Lagerstroemia, otherwise known as Crape Myrtle. These trees are very popular in the southeast, but not native to North America. They originate from the Indian Subcontinent, southeast Asia, northern Australia and parts of Oceania; which means they grow well here in the hot, humid south.

Taken with my iPhone 4 and a Photojojo macro lens, no post-editing.
