Curves of nostalgia

Dangerous curves

This is a rollercoaster that used to be in Keansburg, NJ. Not sure if it is still there after Sandy.

    • Yep. That’s the one. I haven’t been very diligent about looking through the photos of the NJ beach destruction shots since it was such a part of our childhood. I mean EVERYONE went to another nearby beach – Seaside Heights – after the prom. Most of the rides there were on a boardwalk extending into the sea. You can guess what happened http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2012/11/seaside_heights_roller_coaster.html
A friend recently returned to Seaside and almost all the rides and games are gone now. Wonder if they will ever rebuild them?

      • Pretty devastating… I remember living through a hurricane in 1987 when I was 15, and exploring our local park the next day climbing all the fallen trees…the park and much of the South East of England lost a huge amount of trees. At that age, it’s an adventure, as an adult, it’s more serious…history eh?
